Malabika Pramanik, University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada
Dr. Pramanik is Professor of Mathematics at the University of British Columbia and Scientific Director of the Banff International Research Station for Mathematical Innovation and Discovery. She received her Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, under the supervision of Michael Christ. Her research is centered in harmonic analysis and its interactions with geometric measure theory, partial differential equations, fractal geometry, and additive combinatorics. She has made significant contributions to Fourier analysis, oscillatory integrals, maximal operators, and geometric configurations in sparse and fractal sets.
