Eyvindur Ari Palsson, Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, U.S.A.

Dr. Palsson is currently an Associate Professor of Mathematics at Virginia Tech. He received his Ph.D. in mathematics from Cornell University in 2011 under the direction of Camil Muscalu. After graduation, he was a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Rochester from 2011 to 2014 and then was a tenure track Assistant Professor at Williams College for two years before moving to Virginia Tech. His research lies in harmonic analysis and its interactions with geometric measure theory, combinatorics, additive number theory, and data science. In recent years, he has worked on questions related to the Falconer distance problem, multilinear geometric averaging operators and the Fourier ratio and its applications to signal recovery and sampling theory.
